The first volume of our “Ski Club” series pays tribute to the origin of our company and the name behind the wax. 

Those who’ve been in heavy conditions know the feeling but thoughts of a proper  “Black Mountain” can’t be conjured up without the thought of a very special place - Praia do Norte, a colossal deep-sea canyon off the Oeste coast in Portugal that has produced the largest ridden wave in history. 

We tapped in Nazarè specialist photographer, Helio Antonio, and two of his iconic shots to embody the essence of real “Black Mountains” while paying respect to one of surfing’s big wave playgrounds. 

Each super-soft towel was designed in Hawai'i and sublimated + hand sewn in Orange County, CA.
